You are a believer who believes with all of your heart that you are supposed to prosper in order to fulfill your calling. You believe great things are in store for you, but you are not sure how. The past few years have been more challenging than ever and you ma feel as if you are struggling to re-ground yourself and that the “old you” is somewhere in there still wanting to accomplish your vision. You may feel drained, both mentally and spiritually. Simultaneously, you may give yourself a lot of “should” messages, such as “I should be doing this or that”, “I should be more involved in ministry” or “I should be a better spouse, parent, etc.” You may feel that you would be better positioned to fulfill your vision if you were just doing “more” of something. However, you lack the motivation to start or to be consistent.

Therapy can help by…

beginning with self-compassion. When we have stressful experiences or when we feel overwhelmed for a long period of time, our brains become tired and does the best it can to keep you going while it is attempting to deal with the stress. This is not about shaming nor blaming yourself. This is about learning to work with your brain in the way that it was designed so that you can find yourself again, find your vision again and find your motivation again. Therapy can help you define or re-define your vision, your life values and then be able to set boundaries with others so that you can maintain balance in your life without feeling guilty about it. What if you are meant to fulfill your vision? What if you are meant to do great things? What if you just need to know how to release your burdens so that you can run the race successfully?

If you are considering therapy, please do not hesitate to reach out. There is no commitment necessary and the 15 minute consultation call is free.
